Scenic assessment for your Lake Tahoe pier or lakefront residence
The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) reviews how the whole project area conforms with scenic regulations. A new pier is mitigated in the upland. Basin Range writes the assessment: baseline, contrast rating, and visible mass. Photography is only one small part of an assessment.
If you are applying for a new pier, changing the one you have, or building or remodeling a residence on the lake, TRPA will review how the project conforms with scenic regulations. A new pier has to be mitigated in the upland, so scenic review can change how the whole project area complies, and what is viewable from the lake, not just the pier itself.
