Shoreline wall or revetment
A wall or revetment on the shore needs its own permit.
A shoreline wall or revetment is its own shorezone project at the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA). It is not automatically allowed with a pier application. TRPA prefers a sloping, permeable revetment. A vertical wall has to show the sloping option will not work.
We will tell you whether the wall or revetment is possible, then prepare the application if it is.
